Waiver of Interviews Still Available

The State Department added some categories of people who may be eligible for a waiver of the in-person interview for a non-immigrant visa. Generally, a person must be applying in their country of residence and on previous occasions, must have never been refused a visa. One is generally eligible for an interview waiver if the previous category had expired within the last 12 months, changing the previous rule from 48 months.
